Team India Sculpture Title: Personification:
This anthropomorphic representation of human and animal form expresses the iconologist elements both from historical context and to relate it in present period. The sculpture is a reflection of Hindu religious god Ganesha. Which is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the deva of intellect and wisdom. As the god of beginnings, he is honored at the start of rites and ceremonies. He is also invoked as patron of letters and learning during writing sessions.
The sculpture compromise many elements evolving the behavioral qualities of human and animal. It is constituted as a being both human and animal. Its iconology elements are book, conch shell and rays. These elements depict ceremonies, learning or knowledge and light or life.
